Finding My Own Way

Borrowed dreams and second-hand beliefs

Walking paths that others carved for me

Their expectations like autumn leaves

Covering the ground I couldn't see

But something's stirring deep inside

A voice that I can't deny

It's my time to find my way

Through the darkness into day

Every step I take alone

Makes this journey now my own

It's never too late to start again

With an open heart, a healing pen

Writing stories yet untold

On my terms, brave and bold

Society's mirror shows distorted views

Of who I am and what I have to do

But wisdom whispers, gentle and true

That every soul must find its own breakthrough

So I'm shedding layers of the past

Finding strength that's built to last

With compassion as my guide

Embracing both my truth and pride

The world may spin in countless ways

But I choose my dance, I choose my days

Love myself enough to grow

Trust myself enough to know

That every dawn brings something new

And every path can lead to truth

It's my time to find my way

Through the darkness into day

Every step I take alone

Makes this journey now my own

It's never too late to start again

With an open heart, a healing pen

Writing stories yet untold

On my terms, brave and bold

On my terms, brave and bold
